(14 Jul 2018) Anti-gay protesters tried to block the parade of the annual Queer Culture Festival in Seoul on Saturday, but were removed by police.
They held posters reading “absolutely against homosexuality”.
Police gave the protesters several warnings before forcibly removing them to allow the parade to pass.
According to police round 20-thousand people gathered to take part in the parade that marched through downtown Seoul, with more people spontaneously joining the festivities.
The festival, which celebrates South Korea’s LGBTQ+ community, has been taking place since 2000, making this year the 19th annual festival.
